Brioche braids are very soft and delicious sourdough desserts, ideal for breakfast or as a snack for adults and children. To prepare them, we made the dough with milk, sugar, egg yolks, brewer's yeast, and flour. After the proofing phase, we obtained several balls of dough, which we then braided into loaves. Before baking, we brushed them with beaten egg and sprinkled them with sugar. The result is soft and fragrant brioche that you can enjoy plain or fill with hazelnut spread, jam, or whatever you like. How to Make Brioche Flakes
Step 1
Mix the warm milk with the sugar, egg yolks, and fresh brewer's yeast.
Step 2
Mix the flour with the milk mixture and knead with your hands.
Step 3
Add the softened butter and continue kneading for at least 10 minutes until a smooth and elastic dough forms.
Step 4
Cover with a cloth and let rise for 1 hour.
Step 5
Form small balls from the dough and let them rest for 15 minutes.
Step 6
Shape each ball into a 20 cm (8-inch) long rope. Braid three ropes together to form a braid. Pinch the ends together to seal.
Step 7
Place the braids on the baking sheet and let them rest for 30 minutes. Brush with beaten egg and sprinkle with sugar.
Step 8
Bake for 15 minutes at 190°C (375°F). The brioche braids are ready to enjoy!
